[ID 136] CONHECIMENTO E RELAÇÃO ENTRE TUTOR E ANIMAL DURANTE A QUARENTENA PELO COVID-19

INTRODUÇÃO: O coronavírus (COVID-19), apresentou disseminação mundial, sendo está considerada uma pandemia devido a sua alta taxa de morbidade e mortalidade. Em decorrência a pandemia os governantes decretaram quarentena a fim de minimizar a propagação viral. Tal características fez com que tutores e animais ficarem reclusos nos domicílios. A mudança na rotina dos animais pode impactar no comportamento e bem-estar do mesmo, possibilitando o surgimento de alterações comportamentais devido a sua reclusão.
OBJETIVO: Avaliar o conhecimento e relação de tutores de animais de companhia durante a quarentena pelo COVID-19.
MATERIAL E MÉTODOS: O trabalho consiste da aplicação de questionário online, formulado pelo Google Forms, contemplando questões de múltipla escolha a respeito de forma de fornecimento de alimento aos animais, prática de atividades físicas, alterações comportamentais e conhecimento de tutores sobre o COVID-19 em animais de companhia. O mesmo foi enviado aos participantes por meio de mídias digitais. Os resultados obtidos foram tabulados, obtendo-se os valores percentuais, e foi realizado o teste de qui-quadrado a 5% de significância para as opções de respostas.
RESULTADOS: Participaram do trabalho 128 pessoas, entretanto, 2 foram retiradas por não possuir animais. Para todas as variáveis analisadas observou-se diferença estatísticas. Foi observado que durante a quarentena, não houve alteração na forma de fornecimento de alimentos aos animais, sendo adicionados novos objetos distrativos, manutenção da realização de atividades físicas e peso corporal. Sobre conhecimento do COVID-19 em animais, os tutores alegam que os animais não podem transmitir ou se infectar, apesentando conhecimento sobre a coronavírus próprio dos animais.
CONCLUSÃO: Os animais de companhia não apresentaram alterações no peso corporal e comportamentais durante a pandemia, sendo que, os tutores não apresentam conhecimento sobre o COVID-19 em animais, mas compreendem o coronavírus dos animais.
